Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) commonly known as plexiglass, acrylic or acrylic glass is a naturally colourless, rigid, thermoplastic synthetic material. Semi-finished products are made using extrusion or casting. They are produced as plates, blocks, pipes and rods. Colourless plates have excellent optical properties achieving light permeability of 92%. It is a material that is extremely resistant to UV and weather conditions. It retains its properties throughout a long period of usage. It is resistant to chemical substances and non-toxic. It is not harmful for human body and do not have negative impact on environment, so it can be used with food products. This material can be easily thermally treated and machined. It is perfect for laser cutting, bending, thermal forming and gluing. It can also be used as medium for digital or dot pattern print. The offer includes a wide range of mass-dyed plates, opal, transparent, translucent, fluorescent, satinated, metallic, pearl, mirror and plates for LED back-lights (both on edges and on surface). Due to its excellent properties plexiglass is widely used in almost every branch - from advertising (light-boxes, expositions, signboards) to building industry (interior equipment, acoustic screens) to industry (casings and machine and device parts, diffusers). |
